During the filming of the series, we secured key media to visit the set, providing them with a behind-the-scenes look at Season 2. Furthermore, we secured a huge range of interviews with presenters Emma Willis and Fred Sirieix, targeting top-tier media across national, showbiz, food and beverage, and entertainment outlets. Crafting the series press release and conducting press pack interviews with Fred and Emma further bolstered our PR toolbox. MCPR collaborated with the Disney Destinations press team to promote the grand reopening of the iconic 5-Star Disneyland Hotel at Disneyland Paris after its epic two-year renovation to transform it into the world's first hotel dedicated to Disney royalty. Our PR efforts included securing a range of media for an exciting online press conference, with a range of high-profile national news and lifestyle outlets taking part. In addition, MCPR targeted luxury and premium titles to preview the hotel relaunch. By strategically engaging with these publications, we helped to ensure the launch received coverage from influential sources within the luxury travel and lifestyle sectors, further enhancing the hotel's prestige and desirability among its target audience. We also played a crucial role during the grand reopening press event by managing celebrity attendees on the ground and creating compelling photo and video assets. MCPR successfully spearheaded the publicity campaign for National Geographic's "Lost Cities with Albert Lin." Leveraging exclusive access to host Albert Lin, MCPR orchestrated a virtual press junket, facilitating direct engagement between the national press and Albert. Episode 1 strategically emphasised a Scottish angle, resulting in extensive coverage across print and online platforms. Highlights include double-page features in Daily Mirror, Daily Star, and Daily Record, Sunday Express as well as prominent online exposure in The Times Online, MailOnline, and Sun Online. The campaign secured a total reach of 20,521,433 across 19 media items. 

National Geographic | Lost Cities Revealed with Albert Lin

MCPR successfully oversaw the celebrity engagement, press, and influencer marketing for the Disney Store VIP event, marking the kickstart to the 2023 festive season for The Disney Store and shopDisney. We secured attendance from 224 individuals, including celebrities from the worlds of TV, music, and fashion such as Alex Jones, Sam Faiers, Binky Felstead, Steph McGovern, Louise Roe, and Michelle Heaton, alongside 33 influencers and 25 top-tier media. Beyond orchestrating this high-profile gathering, we took charge of on-the-ground content creation, ensuring seamless photo opportunities and capturing compelling celebrity soundbites, which were sold in for next-day news stories, allowing us to secure significant media coverage. The event blended immersive experiences, exclusive product showcases, and a charitable component that each brought the magic of Disney to life and celebrated the holiday spirit in style. MCPR orchestrated a standout PR campaign to launch National Geographic's documentary series 'JFK: One Day in America,' commemorating the 60th anniversary of JFK's assassination. The campaign kicked off with a spectacular screening event at White City House, featuring a Q&A session with Series Director Ella Wright and Executive Producer David Glover, drawing key stakeholders and top-tier media outlets. High-impact media interviews with Ella Wright, including a live studio appearance on Sky News Breakfast and features in The Sun, MailOnline, Sunday Express, and Total TV Guide were strategically secured. We also set up interviews for documentary contributor Peggy - a witness to JFK's assassination - in The Independent and The Sun. To help drive tune-in on day of the premiere, we placed newly colourised images and quotes extracted from the series, notably securing a double-page spread in the Daily Mirror. MCPR teamed up with Hedkandi, the world-renowned dance music brand and events company, for a heartwarming crowdfunding campaign that fulfilled the dream of a 74-year-old dance music enthusiast, Robert Johnson, to relive the magic of Ibiza. Surpassing their GoFundMe target with over £2,000 raised, the campaign garnered extensive media attention. Through interviews, news generation, and outreach to both national and local media, including ITV News, BBC Radio Five Live, Daily Mirror, Daily Star, Mixmag, LadBible, and Saga, amongst many others, the campaign shared Robert's inspiring journey with the world, uniting generations in celebrating his enduring spirit within the dance music community. Additionally, we devised a compelling news story about WildEarth offering a cost-of-living-busting way for Brits to go on safari from the comfort of their own home, with a spokesperson quote that linked the channel to current news topics, fostering a deeper connection between viewers and wildlife. MCPR facilitated interviews with WildEarth's spokesperson, and through a widespread media sell-in, secured extensive coverage across various media outlets. Furthermore, we organised a press trip to South Africa for top-tier media to experience WildEarth's safari on the ground, in exchange for features coverage. We also achieved widespread success by placing exciting unseen nature clips from WildEarth's live-streamed safaris, resulting in multiple stories running on MailOnline, Sun Online, Mirror Online, Metro Online, Daily Star Online, Daily Express Online, MSN News, Yahoo! News, and many other prominent news platforms.

UK Launch of WildEarth on Freeview 

MCPR orchestrated a flagship PR campaign for the launch of National Geographic's ground-breaking new television series, Building Impossible with Daniel Ashville. The campaign aimed at generating strong brand awareness, fostering audience engagement, and positioning the series as a must-watch show, all while establishing Daniel Ashville as a compelling and influential talent in the architecture and engineering field. Our exclusive press junket provided media outlets, including national publications, TV, radio, and online platforms, the opportunity to conduct in-depth interviews with Daniel Ashville, ensuring comprehensive media coverage. We developed a captivating news story focusing on remarkable building projects aligning with the show's themes of pushing boundaries and sustainability. A UK-based survey was conducted for localised news coverage. Our TV previews campaign strategically targeted key outlets and journalists to generate excitement for the series, providing press materials and preview copies for maximum exposure. An immersive event at Daniel's construction sites offered journalists hands-on experiences, mirroring the challenges and innovations in ambitious building projects. We capped it off with an extensive broadcast day, with Daniel completing interviews with a mix of national and regional stations, along with TV and podcast interviews to engage the audience and generate interest.

MCPR partnered with Mattel on the "Thomas & Friends: Tracks to Success" campaign, a comprehensive EMEA-wide initiative that focused on the developmental benefits of playing with toy trains. The campaign featured a meticulously devised EMEA PR strategy, the creation of impactful press pack materials, and carefully crafted messaging, all geared towards solidifying Thomas & Friends as a leader in the toy train sector. In the UK, for the campaign, we commissioned supplementary research into parents' perceptions of educational toys, particularly toy trains, raising awareness and securing extensive media coverage in national news and parenting & family media. This successful campaign laid the groundwork for future research and solidified Thomas & Friends as a trusted advocate for educational play, resonating with parents of young children and contributing to advancements in understanding the important role of play in children's development.

Mattel | Thomas & Friends: Tracks to Success Campaign

As the retained PR agency for Disneyland Paris, we developed and executed a celebrity-led launch campaign for the brand-new show, TOGETHER: a Pixar Musical Adventure. Celebrity guests were engaged by us for the premiere event in Disneyland Paris, and our services included on-the-ground PR management, video content and press pack creation, celebrity management, and media relations. In the lead-up to the launch, we also placed behind-the-scenes content offering a first look, with a stand-out positioning piece running in Metro.  We also carved up quotes from celebrities that we gathered at the event to create a series of news stories that spun off the news agenda. The successful campaign put the new Pixar show on the map with key travel, lifestyle, entertainment, and family press, with branded press coverage driving hype for Disneyland Paris.

For the past three years, MCPR has collaborated with National Geographic WILD to lead the UK PR efforts for its fan-favourite annual television event, Sharkfest. Showcasing awe-inspiring programming and featuring A-list celebrities such as Chris Hemsworth, Sharkfest spotlights the enthralling realm of apex predators with a captivating blend of scientific discovery and breathtaking cinematic visuals. Moreover, this initiative actively contributes to supporting the most accomplished scientists and storytellers dedicated to the protection of sharks and their precious oceanic habitat. Since 2021, our PR campaigns for Sharkfest have achieved remarkable success, resulting in an impressive 350+ media features and previews that have reached an audience of millions, firmly establishing the annual event and the incredible scientists and experts involved in the series on the map with audiences.

In honour of Disney's 100th anniversary, MCPR partnered with Disney Parks & Resorts to help find the UK's biggest Disney fan. Hosted by beloved Disney enthusiast Janette Manrara from Strictly Come Dancing, the competition drew thousands of entrants, and ten passionate Disney fans were chosen to participate in a series of unforgettable challenges in Disneyland Paris, Walt Disney World Resort in Florida, and aboard a Disney Cruise Line ship. The winner was announced in front of the iconic Cinderella Castle at Walt Disney World Resort in Florida and was awarded a money-can't-buy stay in the Cinderella Castle Suite. MCPR took charge of managing the announcements and ongoing press moments throughout the various stages of the competition as well as the final, ensuring all opportunities for national and regional coverage were maximised. We also helped manage press opportunities for Janette and offered PR counsel around the creation of key PR editorial assets for the project.

MCPR created and executed an effective public relations campaign for the launch of National Geographic's ground-breaking documentary series, "UFOs: Investigating the Unknown." Beyond securing compelling features and previews to ensure the series captured the attention of key audiences, we orchestrated a creative news generation campaign leading up to the inaugural episode. This initiative delved into the UFO hotspots of the UK, identifying notable personalities whom Brits would most desire to engage in conversations with aliens in the event of contact. We also brought a renowned UFO expert on board. This expert played a crucial role in advising on key themes and the latest topics of interest within the UFO community. Our efforts were bolstered by tailor-made content and written materials crafted to target different segments of the media. The outcome was a huge haul of coverage for the series, highlighted by three different front-page takeover stories in the Daily Star throughout the series' duration. Additionally, we generated multiple national news stories in The Sun, Mirror, MailOnline, Daily Express, The Independent, and stacks of targetted regional press coverage that helped drive viewers to each episode.

National Geographic | UFOs: Investigating the Unknown 

We partnered with Disney to plan and execute EMEA and UK PR for the annual Star Wars Celebration event, this year taking place at ExCel London. With a focus on consumer product and gaming announcements, our on-the-ground press office for Disney ran across the entire four-day event, working with partners including LEGO, Hasbro, Funko, Electronic Arts, and Jazwares. We also handled talent and senior stakeholder management, including media interviews and key PR news generation moments. An influencer engagement campaign drove social coverage and conversation across Instagram and TikTok highlighting the event and key product launches. Both pre and post-event, we helped to announce key Star Wars products and placed exclusive content across a wide range of media titles.

MCPR devised and ran the UK PR campaign for the Disney+ launch of the highly anticipated Marvel animated series, Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur. Leveraging our specialised knowledge in kids and family content, and serving as creative and production leads, we curated an exciting launch event hosted at Flippers in London, aligning with the series' roller-skating theme. This memorable occasion, attended by influential UK parenting and family influencers, generated a wealth of branded media items across platforms like Instagram and TikTok. Simultaneously, our targeted media relations campaign secured prominent features and preview coverage in key outlets, ranging from TV listings to entertainment and kids & family media—achieving widespread coverage with publications ranging from First News to Sunday Times Culture. To complement our comprehensive approach, MCPR also organised an online press junket, spotlighting the series' key talent, including the esteemed Hollywood actor Laurence Fishburne.

Tasked to generate brand awareness and purpose for Fisher-Price, we developed and executed an EMEA PR campaign centred around supporting families with early years development. 

Following our EMEA Strategy development, we then activated the campaign in the UK. We brought on board the leading UK charity, Family Action, as a partner and created a campaign with five key moments across the year. 

We conducted research with parents that drove key insights and news generation results for the launch of the campaign, along with development of content throughout the year. 

We partnered with celebrity Mum, Gemma Atkinson, to create engaging content that sparked conversations and offered support with parents, as well as driving further media coverage of the campaign. 

We also developed digital resources for parents to help with early years development in the home, which were championed by HRH The Princess of Wales Centre for Early Years. 


Mattel: Fisher-Price | 2022 Brand PR

MCPR spearheaded a high-profile UK PR campaign for the introduction of Bruno, a new character with autism in Thomas & Friends. Our strategic communications plan effectively conveyed positive and purposeful messages to parents, children, and society at large. Through partnerships, including one with the National Autistic Society, we helped to give the story a strong UK angle and expert endorsement. Leading the news story sell-in and PR asset activation, we conducted an extensive media relations campaign, securing widespread and well-branded editorial coverage across broadcast, print, and online platforms. Notably, we achieved a clean sweep of printed newspapers, with many featuring half and full-page stories. Our efforts made the Bruno launch one of the week's most discussed stories, igniting a national debate on inclusivity in children's programming. This positioned Mattel at the forefront, establishing the company as an authority on this important topic.
